Perennial, stems branching from base, prostrate or spreading, up to 70cm, densely hairy. Leaves grey-green, opposite, one leaf half the size of the other, 0.8-3.5cm long, 8-16 oblong leaflets with pointed tip, leaflets 0.2-0.4 x 0.4-0.8 cm. Flowers solitary, yellow, 1.5-2 cm across, with 5 petals, 5 sepals, on 1 cm long stalk from leaf nodes. Fruit densely hairy, c. 1cm across, with 5 unequal wings, c. 0.25cm broad, shallowly toothed edge. Fruits along underside of stems.
